Me: Like, does Rhode Island have any coast?
Mike: Are you kidding? You just had to say 'island' when you asked that.

I should start wearing jewlery.
Someone, somewhere will probably like these. I have girly fingers. Buy them.

The Sound of Fonts
Graphic designers love music. TypoLyrics is a book put together by the German typography/design blog Slanted. The English translations are sometimes a little rocky but it is clear that this is a pretty awesome project. Artists spanning the globe contributed to this publication by creating a type-driven design inspired by a bit of lyrics. The book is split up by font family (Typo) and genre...

Download my summer
Today I felt a breeze so nice I thought I was going to start crying. Clearly summer isn’t even close to over. Summer Skin. The first mix of Other People’s Music presented by Lions and Vultures. It’s that breezy moment for seventeen minutes.

I will be traveling for business from Sunday night until Wednesday afternoon. How grown up am I?? I am pretty nervous about the whole event so I have been listening to Crime in Stereo’s The Impending Glory of American Adulthood on repeat.

We Are Synapse - new website →
We Are Synapse is from Australia and they are incredibly hard to pin down and even harder to ignore. As someone who still buys CDs I am especially drawn to their endless examples of album artwork. The style of art bounces all over the place but starting with the color scheme and open, clean layout of the site: I am all-around impressed!

WatchWatch
Etsy’s latest How-Tuesday features Meg Allen Cole making a way rad piece of wall art from a random tree branch. I have always had a bit of a blog-crush on Meg. I watch her Threadbanger show Decor It Yourself religiously, I check her Nest blog often enough, and I lay awake imaging her and I being crafty together several nights a week.

Other People's Music #1
Lions & Vultures presents: Summer Skin / from Brian Miller Download (.zip) This summer has been an interesting one. I got an internship that took me all the way from the Midwest to the East Coast. On the plus side I get to live with my sister and that has (not surprisingly) been absolutely wonderful. But everyone is her age or older putting me at least five years junior to everyone I...

So, I am thinking about using OpenDrive to host files online. If anybody has used them in the past I would really like to hear about it, but they seem pretty solid so far.
