The world is full of neat things to look at and listen to. Every day I collect a few of them here at Lions and Vultures. About

1) Inked In Blood - Where The Enemy Sleeps
This was one of my favorite bands when I first got into heavy music. “We’re not just faces and names. We’re flesh covered in flames.”
2) Bright Eyes - The Center of The World
From Fevers & Mirrors, my least favorite of the 4 cds I have, but a great song. Probably because it could be from Digital Ash.
3) The Dillinger Escape Plan - Perfect Design
Every time a DEP song comes on it is like a little alarm clock. Not the heaviest stuff I have, but surprises me every time.
4) Secondhand Stories - Frontiers
One of the most beautiful songs I have. Easily one of my most played. Short and sweet. Thank you, Deep Elm.
5) IDK - Roller Coaster of Love
I don’t know who this is by but I am glad that I have it. Once in a while I stick it on a mix cd just to see the look on people’s faces.
6) The Beatles - When I’m Sixty-Four
My go-to Beatles song. It makes me want to be 64 years old with a wife next to me that I can sing this to.
7) Between The Buried and Me - Alaska
My ringtone! From the first note the song is epic. I really regret not seeing them when they were in Milwaukee.
8) Jim Gaffagin - Comedy
Yeah. He’s a champ now and he was a champ then (when this was recorded, at least 5 years ago). So funny.
9) Anti-flag - Confused Youth
Some of the best live shows I have been to. I have one really new album and one really old one. They are both great.
10) Left Alone - By My Side
From a Warped Tour compilation. Whenever I get one of these there are all of these great songs from bands I saw/heard nothing about at Warped.
11) Pat Benatar - Fired Up
Kids these days need to get some Pat in their lives. My parents used to play this, loud, all the time. It stuck.
12) Thursday - Circuits of Fever
I am overjoyed that Common Existence rules. I want to see them in MN so bad next month. On of my all time favorite bands.
13) M. Ward - To Go Home
Both M. Ward cds that I have are amazing music. So peaceful but upbeat enough, they are perfect. “God it’s great to be alive!”
14) Bright Light Fever - Let’s Stay In
Eh. I love ‘Papa’s Got a Brand New Liver’ but the cd gets a little obnoxious. You should check it out though. Good enough.
15) Emery - The Smile, The Face
They have been making music for a long time and they are better than a lot of bands that tried to follow in their footsteps. Rad.
