A trail mixtape by Taylor Kuether
Lake effect:
Noun, meteorology
“The phenomena created in the surrounding area by weather passing over a large lake, especially any of the Great Lakes of the U.S.”
Growing up on Lake Michigan meant weather manipulated by the lake effect: cooler summers and warmer winters than the rest of the state. But it also meant standing on the edge of something as big as I wanted it to be, closing my eyes and soaking up the sound. These songs evoke the waves, still cold until August, deep enough to be thoughtful and familiar enough to call home.
Tracklist
The Tragically Hip - Coffee Girl
Junip - Always
Rogue Wave - Lake Michigan
The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition
The High Wire - Hang From The Lights

Taylor Kuether puts her love for Wisconsin, the people in it, and a lot of times the colors that surround them into words at Ted Says Hi.
