This summer has been an interesting one. I got an internship that took me all the way from the Midwest to the East Coast. On the plus side I get to live with my sister and that has (not surprisingly) been absolutely wonderful. But everyone is her age or older putting me at least five years junior to everyone I meet.

I love the work I am doing, which it a relief. But- after working hard all day the last thing on my mind is finding the only place in town for people who aren’t old enough for the bars and aren’t so young I would get paid to supervise. So there has been a lot of alone time. Sometimes to fill it I will pick something I need to do or somewhere I need to go- and the take a long way there and back. Coupled with the fact that I have no idea where I am most of the time you can imagine there is a lot of myself, my car, and some music.
