I just finished up this poster for Bro. Stephen’s in-store performance at Revival Records. Kinda different, right? That image is scanned in from a book about nature.

We Can’t Enjoy Ourselves - Winsome William
From that new, great YVYNYL mix. Ya burn’t.
Sleigh Bells got their pictures taken for SPIN. Some aspects are way cool, like the fact that the high school is Alexis Krauss’ legit alma mater. Some aspects are a little bit hilarious, like the fact there were 12 custom-made varsity jackets involved. But I’d say that in general it’s just Sleigh Bells being too cool, the way they do best. I’m stoked for the new tunes for sure!

Wandering the internet can get confusing. There are a ton of great things coming from different directions and sometimes it feels like there has to be a common thread, or at least some common ground.
That ground might be Prison Art. The tape/zine/record/book label created by Daniel Creahan of Bears In America (posted here) just released the Each Other tape (posted here) and hopefully has a ton more awesome stuff planned for the future.
A little email newsletter about their various projects also led me to the Sarongs cassette and a beautiful BIA side project called Preludes. Again, the internet is big weird beautiful mess.
The Thrills - Nothing Changes Round Here
Kinga Burza has directed some truly incredible videos. She’s created really nostalgic-but-authentic music videos (often on 16mm film) for lesser-known artists like The Thrills and The Teenagers, but she’s also worked with Kate Nash, James Blunt, and even Katy Perry.
